While we do draw upon a wealth of information and tools used by various well known organizations in the field of rehabilitation both in India and abroad while updating our therapy for rehabilitation, which is an on going process, what seems to have spread our message effectively is the freedom, love, care and concern with liberal doses of spirituality.
This uniqueness of blending spirituality with well established and proven rehabilitation benchmarks is spearheaded by our founder-cum-chief trustee Mr.Jarnail Singh Channy (popularly known in these circles as “Bade Babuji”), who is a resident of the foundation by choice, and personally supervises this aspect on a daily basis, apart from delivering weekly lectures on the ways and means of life as a whole, which is not strictly confined to only rehabilitation per se. These sessions lasting over an hour, are generally thrown open for questions & answers, after a brief “Thought for the Day” introduction.
These sessions serve as refreshers to the inmates taking them away from the rigid time table mostly confined to rehabilitation norms.
These sessions held by Mr.Jarnail Singh (Bade Babuji), aims at inculcating in the minds of the audience that there are no problems in lives except themselves, and since all these are self created, the solutions are also available within one’s own self, provided they make an attempt with utmost honesty to introspect and look into the core of themselves in all humility without any pretense, and with compassion for fellow human beings. This compassion and humility can be developed over a period of time through meditational trance and prayers to Gods of their own belief and their internal spirits will provide solutions to their assumed problems.
Since the concept is self oriented with no need for any external tools except spiritual guidance, it is easy and immediate at least to start with at no materialistic cost, but hugely beneficial in the long run particularly when it comes to loss of self control and addiction. Specific care is taken to ensure that the discussions are totally secular with no religious bias whatsoever.
